Couple Gets Married At Local Wal-Mart

Eden, NC -- A Rockingham County couple will have a story to tell about their wedding day. The groom had the day off. The bride did not. She asked for a day off. Her boss said no. But the boss wasn't being mean. The management at the Wal-Mart in Eden just wanted their employees treated right.

They set up an area of the parking lot near the lawn and garden center to hold the wedding. They said its more personal than a trip to the magistrate's office.

Joseph Sutcliffe and Tina Foster became friends when they first started working at Wal-Mart three years ago.

The people at Wal-Mart say the Foster-Sutcliffe wedding is the fourth ever at a United States Wal-Mart.
