Forgive me - live each day to its fullest.
Edited on Fri May-26-06 12:13 PM by HypnoToad
I keep thinking of life in cyclical terms.

I keep thinking life is fair.

I keep thinking people try to help each other rather than to take advantage of others.

Man, I need to find out where I drank the kool-aid and stop going there.

The rebirth will start. It must start. Survival is about one's self first. And if I have to put others down, as they are doing unto me... well, I've got to survive and I deserve to. If only survival was based on IQ alone; my traducers would have failed a long time ago.

2. Unfortunately, there is another phrase...
"Life is what we make of it."

I can't help but feel the Jesus experiment was an utter failure.

3. I'm not so sure I believe that either
Not entirely anyhow.

Some people know how to be incredibly kind to others, but some have a lot more hurdles to overcome before they get there.

4. I gotta admit, I think just about the opposite...
If by life is cyclical you mean the sort of karma idea that bad things happen to bad people, good things happen to good, I think that's demonstrably false. Plenty of good people lead tragic, terrible lives, and plenty of bad people die old, fat, rich and happy.

Life is certainly not fair. See above.

Even I don't agree that people should always help each other at the expense of their own well-being. At some point, you've got to look out for yourself if you're going to get by. This is because of the first two points, but it's still a fact of life.

I keep thinking of life in cyclical terms. It is.

I keep thinking life is fair. Sometimes it is.

I keep thinking people try to help each other rather than to take advantage of others. Many do try to help each other.

Man, I need to find out where I drank the kool-aid and stop going there. Don't stop believing in you. You be fair, you help others.

The rebirth will start. It must start. I think it already has.

Survival is about one's self first. yes, but working together is better.

And if I have to put others down, as they are doing unto me... well, I've got to survive and I deserve to. payback is for gods and action hero's

If only survival was based on IQ alone; my traducers would have failed a long time ago.
