Any So Cal DU'ers want a baby kitty. Smitten just had 4!

My roommate's kitty "Smitten" just had 4 kittens under my BED yesterday afternoon. I will post pictures tuesday or so (I'm headed to Sequoia Nat Park in a few minutes). So if there are any takers PLEASE pm me..

1. No offense intended but "given away" kittens can sometimes wind up in

bad or neglectful homes. You should have the mother spayed, if you can't afford it take her to a shelter or a low cost neutering facility in your area. Take the kittens to a good shelter where they will have a chance to be adopted responsibly and not just "given away" where anything can happened to them. I'm convinced they're chances will be much better in being adopted out from a shelter than just handed out willy nilly.

She offered them to DU-ers. DU-ers have a special place in their hearts for kitties.

I have personally had two experiences with finding kittens good homes with DU-ers. Finer, more loving homes you will not find.

2. Please find a rescue group in your area.

Also, go to YahooGroups.com and search for pet rescue groups in your state. I guarantee you will find homes for them. I have found homes for 3 kittens that were dumped in my yard through these groups.

4. Smitten was a rescue kitty.

Her "owner" my roommate was going to have her spayed but procrastinated, then when we realized she was preggers my roomie was adamant about not terminating the kitties. I am not just going to fling the kittens off "willy-nilly". I also I am not going to take the kittens to a rescue place. My roommate has two friends who will take a kitty each (they say), so I do need to find two more homes. I've been here (DU) since the selection of Dim Son and from all the post a kitty pic threads I'm sure is a decent possibility of finding a good home for a kitten or two here.

Pics to follow early next week.
