Just found out I won a $100 MasterCard gift card at work!

:woohoo: There was a contest going on from Jan. 1 through the end of April, and apparently I was the winner for the Southeast region! :D I got the card just a few minutes ago and actually had no idea what it was for. I had to call my boss to find out. YAY!

Just in time for my shopping trip with ShellBeau! :P I just love surprises like that!

1. Cool!

My Co started "awarding" people with gift cards from probably 75 different stores (best buy, home depot, gander mountain, land's end, stuff like that). turns out, when the company buys them in $5k increments they get a 10% discount.

2. My company actually is the issuer of the card, so I know

they got a huge discount. :P However, all I know is that I have $100 I didn't expect to have....and I'm pretty happy! It's good that your company does a lot with gift cards, too---it actually perks up morale a lot, even if they do get a hefty discount...:D

...Raised health insurance premiums by 20+ percent three years in a row, and when I'd been with them for five years, I got a cheapo umbrella. I feel your pain. :hurts:
