Does Excel have a free trial version on the INTERNET?
I am not talking about the full version just something that I can use to do my College Math homework.

9. I downloaded it on a dial up.
I started the download when I went to bed, and when I got up, it was downloaded.

If you have an ftp program that will restart sessions, you can do it in a couple sessions. Monica on the Mac will do it. Windows, I don't know.

go to http://www.versiontracker.com and look at the different ftp programs.

7. If you have Microsoft Works on your machine
it has a stripped down version of Excel that has pretty much all the functionality that you probably need.

8. I can't find MS Works on this machine
Is it hidden in a file? They don't give you software anymore and I have been trying to find a copy to download until after Christmas.

10. If it was there, it would be in the Program directory in the Windows
folder.

I agree with the other posters, your best best would be to download OpenOffice....here's a link and info on the software:
