Lute lessons and advice

Looking for any advice from anyone who plays the lute; I'm in the UK, wanting to learn the lute and medieval music in general, and am wondering if anyone has any recommendations on where to buy, learn, etc. I've been playing guitar for about 20 years now, so I'm not a newbie to stringed instruments. I'd be willing to spend up to 300 pounds on an instrument. Any advice?

They offer mail-order, and I'm sure that they'd be very forth-coming with advice - it's staffed by people who really love the field and so are more than happy to help.
