:D
So I got out for a two-hour dirt bike ride today, lovely weather but I had work to do, as did my lovely. Anyhow, out we went
finally.
Rode up an old dirt road to a river crossing, which was too swift and deep, so we drank water and enjoyed the river and headed back.
Zipping along at a comfy 30-35 mph, when something hit my neck. Ow, I thought, and little more.
Until I felt what I was certain was a bead of sweat dripping down my sternum...
Then, it dripped
UP. :wow:
To understand, here's the chest protector I wear:
In addition to making me look like a Power Ranger, it keeps my chest from getting too banged up should I, say, run into something. :D
Back to the story: I pulled over,
immediately, put the bike in neutral and started to strip on the side of the road. My girlfriend pulls up, bewildered as I finally get the chest protector off and the
biggest goddamn bee you ever saw dropped out, sputtered briefly, and flew away. :wow:
I still can't figure out why I wasn't stung. I can only imagine my reaction, would've probably dumped the bike and caused untold injury.
Moral: keep that jacket zipped up
all the way. :hi:
