Man Who Couldn't Swim Drowns Trying To Save Remote Control Boat
The 31-year-old man was using a raft to paddle into the middle of the lake at Amelia Earhart Park Memorial Day evening. He was trying to reach the disabled toy boat when another model boat punctured the raft and it deflated, witnesses said.

"One of the boats ran out of gas in the middle of the lake," witness Luis Lamplais said. "He offered to go get the boat. He don't know how to swim. I don't know why he make this decision."

Friends tried to rescue the man but could not get to him in time and he drowned.

"If you don't know how to swim, don't go in the lake like that," Lamplais said.
