Edited on Thu Dec-11-03 06:06 AM by La_Serpiente
Well, when I was young, I touched a hot iron. However, I was five and didn't know better. Also, my older brother, who was 18 at the time, egged me on to do it. He told me it was cold. I look back on it now and say, "Gosh, that was fricking dumb" :silly:

6. Ok I got one
I jumped out of a barn loft after my brother threw a rock at a wasp nest that was dinner plate size. I ended up with a broken leg. He stayed up in the loft, wasn't stung, and laughed until he saw I was hurt.

10. Believe me , I did a lot of dumb things as a kid ...
Really I did that . My mom asked the doctor's if I was really alright because she was going to make me hurt so bad when I got home . Usually when you are injured everyone worships your every need but not this time ( broken arm , the part I jumped off was not that high but had I gone higher ... )

27. I did that too when I was a kid
I was 6 at the time and I jumped from the top of my house , but I didn't get hurt at all because it was after a good old fasioned up state New York blizzard so the deep snow saved me.

11. Having my first cigarette at age 20.
I had gone through high school without a puff--in Europe, no less, which is no mean feat. Then, for some stupid reason, I had a cig at a party in college and have been a smoker ever since (fourteen years, now). If I could erase one thing from my life, that would be it.

17. You should take your message to every college freshman
at the first week of college as they are attracted to sign up for credit cards that they don't need .

18. Yup...sigh...that's where they found me.
I had "sucker" written across my forehead. I still remember the first credit card purchase I ever made: gas for my car. :forehead slap:

I'm darn-near totally debt free now; by the summer's end, I will be without a debt period. Nice feeling. :-)

20. You know they pay the colleges money to be able to sit out there ...
I swear I go to those tables and wrangle every freshman away that I can - its not worth it to be in debt at such a young age . If you don't have a job , hold no plastic ( credit card ) .

25. Me too...But I'll pick one from recently. We just repainted our living
room this year and went to go get new switchplates and light switches. As we are standing there looking at switches, my husband couldn't figure out why one switch was twice as expensive as the other when they were basically the same switch. I looked at the tag on one and said," well this one connects to lights and turns them on and the other one doesn't say that it does" And this in front of my kids who usually think I'm pretty smart. No one lets me forget this moment. Really, I am not that stupid, I just had one of those brain dead moments after spending hours in a hardware store. ;)
