Hypothetically speaking, if you were at kindergarten registration
with your son and he went to do the 'test' to see if he was ready and when he returned the other kids screamed in horror 'oh, no, the mean kid is back!' would you be worried?

(This did happen, I witnessed it, but mom was oblivious)

1. If I was the teacher, I'd be worried.

Some kids need Kindergarten for nothing else other than to learn how the hell to get along with other kids.

3. A) The Kudzu thread is dead??
Man, I can hardly keep up.

B) What do you want the mom to say? "Hey honey, nevermind those haters." ? If I were that mom, I might start thinking to myself about another school choice if possible.

4. LOL. No, this is the situation.
Mom is one of my best friends, but the kid is a brat. A major brat. When he comes here, I have to frisk him because he steals stuff.

I just want her to open her eyes a little bit to the possibility that sonny boy isn't perfect, but as her friend I can't tell her.

It was funny, though. My other friends who know this horror and I are having a lot of fun with this.

Oh, no, that mean kid is back.

8. Did you try telling her, "Hey! Your kid's an ass!"
No? Well, don't. That wouldn't be a very good way to put it (although I've admittedly been thisclose to saying as much to one particular mother I knew, in the past!).

10. How about this?
Jennifer, honey? You know I love you, but Mark is a fucking hellion who steals. I have to pat him down to be sure my jewelry stays in my house. He sucks. We hate him.

Do you think that is too subtle? Should I be more direct?

9. I'm not sure what to say in reply
I would hate to be in her shoes. Do you really think she doesn't know that her kid is a horror? She probably squirms inside every time he does something awful. It must suck to be her.

11. In all honesty, I don't think she knows.
Her eldest has Down Syndrome and is beyond cute. Everyone loves her. I think this is part of this one's problem, but never saying 'no' to a five year old is not a good thing.

She gives in all the time. She does have a full plate with the eldest and her schooling, but she is married and there are just the two kids, so I wish one of them would step up to the plate a little and reel this guy in. Kindergarten is going to be a rude awakening.

I thank my lack of god that I have a healthy well-adjusted child.

5. Yeah. I'd be worried. But that mom must know her child is causing probs.
She just chooses not to face reality.

6. No, it's probably just
another one of those Indigo children. They seem to multiply like Kudzu.

7. LOL. I wish.
This kid is a major brat. His sister has Down Syndrome and I adore her, but he is a major PITA.

13. I think it's almost impossible to tell them
The only thing I can think of is the "some people say..." thing. But, I've never been very good at this sort of thing where one should be tactful.
