"It is compulsory by law to enroll and compulsory by law to attend a polling place at election time."

Do you thing we should make it compulsory to register and vote in the US? Maybe we wouldn't be in the mess we are in now.

"Other countries which have some form of compulsory voting are:
Argentina
Austria
Belgium
Bolivia
Brazil
Cyprus
Dominican Republic
Egypt
Greece
Guatemala
Honduras
Liechtenstein
Luxembourg
Panama
Philippines
Singapore
Switzerland (some cantons only)
Uruguay
Venezuela"

2. Why should the fuckwits who can't be bothered be made to vote?
If they can't be bothered to vote I doubt they spend the time to understand the issues.

4. I just get soooooo
tired of people who don't vote complaining about the destruction of our rights and our country. If they don't vote, they have no one to blame but themselves.:hurts:

3. Not that I think it's a bad idea...
but it could be against the First Amendment. Refusing to vote could be considered a form of speech.

5. And they STILL got Howard
who isn't exactly a hero of our time.

I find it super distressing that in a country with compulsive voting, the right wingers still get in office. Yikes.

6. At least every one
did their part and voiced their opinion---even if it was mandated.
