Prince Albert Admits To Fathering Another Child

Recently, Albert admitted to fathering another child. This child is actually older than the young boy Albert admitted to fathering last year. The child's mother has been trying to get Albert to admit to fathering the child for years. The girl that Albert has now admitted to fathering is 14 and her middle name is Grace.

I know that some people may not want to hear about this story, but I just thought it was interesting and should be pointed out. I think it is interesting in that I had heard about this story years ago and from what it seems like then Prince Albert would never admit to fathering the child. Prince Albert seemed to be doing everything to keep it from coming out that he had fathered the child. So, today it shocked me that he decided to just admit that he did. Also, I just wonder what made him decide to admit especially now.

Plus, there's problems ahead for the Monagasque succession give his lack of legitimate children - are we about to see them be taken under his wing as potential heirs?

the law in Monaco was changed a few years ago (due, I suspect, to Prince Rainier's despairing of his son ever having legitimate offspring) and if things do not change, Princess Caroline is next in line after Albert and her children (4 of them) would then be in line to succeed her. (though, personally, I'd hate to see Caroline's oldest son inherit - he seems to be a completely useless rich kid - 's far as I know he doesn't go to school or work - in any capacity :puke:)

However, Prince Albert has in the past year stated that:

1. He still intends to marry and produce legitimate heirs
2. IF, in the future, it becomes clear to him that he will NOT marry and have legitimate heirs, he would have to consider the "status" of his son Alexandre (which certainly sounds as if he's leaving the door open to making his son heir to the throne

previously because of his father. It didn't take long after his father's death to admit to being the father of the boy...why it's taken another year to admit to being the girl's father...who knows? Maybe his lawyers have been working out legal issues :shrug:
