Anyone here receive a ticket for parking in a Handicapped Zone?

I did. I have to pay $205 within 45 days. The problem is, the placard was in my car...apparently it had fallen to the floor. Does anyone know if I can contest this ticket and explain what happen? Or do you think they won't give a f and make me pay the fine? :grr:

If I were you, I'd contest the ticket, go to court and take the placard as proof.

2. There should be a mechanism for disputing the ticket on the ticket itself.

Follow those instructions -- you may have to go to court (similar to disputing a speeding ticket), but you should be OK.

Check the ticket for your court date. You should be able to plead your case before a judge who'll either toss out the ticket or reduce your fine accordingly to "improper display" of your handicapped plackard.
