It's used, has a few signs of wear, and one of the USB ports doesn't work too good, but otherwise it's a steal. Bigger hard drive, bigger screen, more memory, high-speed internet port - and it's WiFi capable, so all I need is a 802.11b/g card with built-in antenna and maybe I can start e-mailing my fellow precinct members from the local pizza joint.
Some friends of ours also gave us a generous gift of a tower loaded with graphics goodies - due to circumstances beyond our control, I haven't had much of a chance to play around with it yet, but I'm living for the day I get seriously graphic on y'all.
:woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo:
P.S. - If it doesn't seem like that big of a deal to some of you geeks out there, keep in mind that my previous laptop had a 266MHz Pentium II. It tried its best to keep up, but there's only so much it can do, bless its heart...
