Anna Nicole Smith: ‘Yes, I am pregnant’
NEW YORK - Anna Nicole Smith has confirmed that she's pregnant, in a video clip posted on her Web site.

“Let me stop all the rumors. Yes, I am pregnant. I'm happy, I'm very very happy about it. Everything's goin' really, really good and I'll be checking in and out periodically on the Web and I'll let you see me as I'm growing,” the 38-year-old former reality TV star and Playboy playmate says.

Smith, who is floating on an inflatable raft in a swimming pool as a small white dog barks in the background, did not provide any details.

She married Texas oil tycoon J. Howard Marshall II in 1994, when she was 26 and he was 89. He died the following year. Since then, she has feuded with Marshall's son, Pierce Marshall, over her entitlement to the tycoon's estate.

Smith won a judgment from the Supreme Court last month that allows her to continue to seek part of Marshall's fortune.

2. I admire her willingness to support herself
I mean, judging by that picture, if she didn't support herself, she'd fall victim to a wardrobe malfunction on par with Lady Godiva's.

8. I'm wondering why she's bothering to cover up
Hasn't everyone seen them already?

10. I would guess that, by now, everyone who wants to see them has seen them
But some people no doubt want to see them again, and that's why she gets airtime.

4. More on this...
According to several reports, Anna Nicole is said to be five months pregnant and her boyfriend, celebrity photojournalist Larry Birkhead , is rumored to be the father.

Anna Nicole has a 20-year-old son, Daniel, from a previous relationship.
------------------------
Smith's announcement comes on the heels of a similar statement made by the baby's father, freelance photographer Larry Birkhead. So why the secrecy? Birkhead blames Smith's lawyer, Howard K. Stern. "I was told by Howard K. Stern to deny the pregnancy," Birkhead tells Rush & Molloy. "But I'm not denying it anymore for legal, moral and ethical reasons. I'm not denying she's pregnant and I'm not denying I'm the father." A friend of Smith's claims that Stern's motivation for keeping the pregnancy secret was that the lawyer himself is in love with Smith and therefore jealous of the proud papa-to-be. (Rush & Molloy, AnnaNicole.com)
---------------------------
Birkhead claims he went public with the information after Stern slammed him in the media.

He added, "Howard needs to get past his own jealousy about the relationship between myself and his only client."

Ashley Judd Settles Suit With Kentucky Journalist

06/18/2001 6:00 PM, Yahoo! Music
Craig Rosen

(6/18/01, 6 p.m. ET) -- Ashley Judd and freelance journalist Larry Birkhead have agreed on a settlement two years after the writer sued the actress and member of one of country music's royal families over libelous statements he says she made regarding an article he wrote for USA Today.

Ashley and Birkhead have settled their case outside of court, and while no details of the settlement are being released, Birkhead says he is happy with the outcome. "I'm totally satisfied with the fact that we've settled," the journalist told LAUNCH. "I have always liked the Judds and Ashley. Now that it's over, everyone can get on with things."

Birkhead, who is from Ashley's native state of Kentucky, penned an article about the actress's famous mother, Naomi Judd, which was printed in August of 1999. The writer asked Naomi about Ashley's R-rated movie in theatres at the time, Double Jeopardy, to which Naomi had no comment. Ashley subsequently appeared on Entertainment Tonight and contradicted the article, saying it was a "complete fabrication" and that her mother gave a "total enthusiastic response to the film."

13. What an odd (non) response from Naomi Judd
Double Jeopardy was a pretty good movie. Why would her mom diss it with "No comment?" Bad blood between her and her daughter?

9. Oh, this reminds me of the joke.....
Marilyn Monroe proposes to Einstein: Why don't we have a baby? With my looks, and your brains, it will be a winner!

And Einstein says, but if the child gets my looks, and your brains......
