2. The English fans will riot.
They're coming equipped with inflatable Spitfires - apparently ( :eyes: ) - and knowledge of a few thousand utterly unfunny anti-German songs.

That's my prediction at least.

8. Oh, I am not too worried about them

IN fact I totally fail to worry about any of the doomsday predictions around the world cup.

As to the British "fans": the English police has experience in handling them, the jokes haven't changed much since thirty years and German fans are prepared to react in kind (*blech*):

since zapping is futile, the ball is round, and a game lasts 90 minutes.

14. I actually am looking forward to it
Edited on Mon Jun-05-06 03:35 PM by Kellanved
I think it will be a fun event. But at the same time I want the whole carnival to be over - it is over the top. Anyway, I like to watch soccer, but can fully understand the sentiments.

This one might be dangerous for the wearer, though:

7. FIFA - Encouraging refs to be extra liberal with the cards
sure, nobody wants to see the skills of the best players nullified by profuse fouling, but on the other hand football is a physical game, and if they're as quick with the cards as I've heard FIFA's encouraged them to be, you could end up with some vital players watching from the sidelines and the outcomes of matches corrupted by over-zealous officiating. Hopefully they'll exercise discretion.
