Novocaine and Eating Do NOT Mix
I was chewing on my tongue and I thought it was Mac & Cheese. Gah! My appointment was at 1:30, when the hell is this stuff wearing off?

1. Spitting under the influence of novocaine is always an experience.
Try it and see.

7. It takes several hours for me.
I'm often ravenous by the time it wears off.

Try having a smoothie before your next appointment.

11. My dentist
has this computerized novocaine delivery (looks like a pen), and it knows when the tissues are saturated with it. It wears off pretty quick for me, I'm glad I don't have to deal with that nonsense anymore. :bounce:

13. Been there! Wish I'd taken the dentist's advice on not eating
until it wore off. One time I was chewing and chewing and chewing when I realized it was my cheek rather than the sandwich. I ended up with a nasty bruise on the inside of my cheek.

You have my sympathy.

17. Amazingly, it didn't cause any damage.
It wore off and my mouth is none the worse for wear. The thing about me is I never eat a lot at one time. I tend to get full really fast, but I'll be starving two hours later. I basically never eat real meals, just snack constantly.
