Water in the Basement - Yet Again!
I swear, God is trying to drown me!

As you may know our sewer has backed up 3 times and has cost us lots of cash to get fixed.

Well, today, one of the water pipes was leaking, but NOT IN THE HOUSE! :woohoo:

It happenned at my new apartment, in the basement of the duplex. The valve to turn off the garden hose spigot went bad, and was not dripping, but flowing water onto a bunch of our boxes of stuff we stored in the basement. Luckily we had the foresight to forego cardboard and use 22 gallon rubbermaid bins for most of our stuff, and the cardboard boxes that got destroyed were full of melmac and other plastic stuff, so no losses. The landlord was there in 10 minutes and we fixed it right away.

So it could be worse, but geez, I'm getting webbed feet...

1. You should keep everything in ziploc bags...
...you know, everything. Hair you're not using any more, urine, etc. Precious bodily fluids. :D
