Last night I had my Global Marketing class, led by what I thought was a qualified Phd, doctorate type. She starts discussing the issues of terrorism and politically unstable countries and how important it is to really understand the ramifications when you look to global markets. She starts discussing the Middle East and Iran.....then she gets to Cuba and Fidel Castro......

"Well he came to power sometime in the 70s.......that was before the Bay of Biscayne incident...."

Then of course....."Let's talk about Namibia, did you know that Brad Pitt just had a baby there?" Boy the hands shot up to discuss that one, everyone knew about Namibia, but not one eyebrow raised at the discussion of the Bay of Biscayne incident in the 70s. WTH am I actually paying for education wise? *sigh*

These are just a few of the highlights of this particular class.
