Poll question: Did You Sleep Well Last Night?
Edited on Thu Jun-08-06 06:30 AM by arwalden
I'm usually asleep in under 15 minutes (without alcohol or sleeping pills). Unless I have a nightmare, I usually sleep all the way until morning (about 7-8 hours).

2. I slept good
I just got to bed too late again because I couldn't stop reading my book. I really had to force myself to put it aside and turn off the light. I wanted to go to bed around 10.30pm. It became midnight

4. Same here.
In fact that's me about 8 nights per week.

Once I finally turned off the light I slept wonderfully though.

3. Extremely well. I went to quite the lengths to make my bed comfy, it
was AWESOME. And great catch-up sleep.

7. I slept ok.
I tossed and turned for a bit because I am getting over a cold and I was hacking away for a part of the night. The cold went away from my head and eyes but I still have a runny nose and the cold spread to my chest. But I am feeling better than I have been.

I did hit the hay way earlier than I am use to. I was asleep by 11. I work nights and usually when I work I don't fall asleep until like 2 or 3.

10. well, since I work nights...no
and I'm still getting used to sleeping in the day.
Our bedroom is "the cave" now (my kids named it) I have the windows blacked out.
Yesterday was garbage day, and the backup beeper on the truck woke me up after only 3 hours of sleep.
I got 1 more hour later, but it drains me by the end of the week, Saturday is a total waste, as I'm catching up.
Working 7pm to 7-9am blows...but the checks come in handy.
God, I hope I get used to this soon...

14. I sympathize, since I worked nights for 16 years.
This worked well for me, since I'm really a night person, and preferred working at night than having to be anywhere early, never easy for me. But it can be really hard, since you're out of sync with most of the rest of the world, friends, family, have trouble making appointments or getting to places when they're open. People just don't get it, since they expect you to be up, because they are, don't understand that this is when you sleep. And the rest of the world intrudes, like your garbage truck or my neighbors' lawn mowers. But you will get used to it. Just give it some time.:hi:

12. I fell deeply asleep, for the first time in days, since I was pretty tired
I have chronic insomnia. But last night, it all just caught up with me and I couldn't stay awake. I got up early, thinking it was just for a few minutes and hoped to go back to bed, but that's not going to happen. I'm still tired and facing a tough day.:-(

for the past few nights. Too hot. I might have to turn down the AC. Oh and get the winter blankets off my bed. :-)

Needless to say, I'm :boring: :hangover:

That had me huddling in the basement clutching my family.

Then, I was pissed.

18. At may age, 'partly' is as good as it gets.
But getting enough sleep lately to be able to dream. And the dreams have been good. That alone is a gift.

There have been several unexpected gifts of several sorts of late, too. ;)

or was it blunt enough for that not to be necessary

I've been dreaming mountain slopes, forests, and meadows filled with wildflowers. Think that means I'll be pushing up daisies soon? :D

20. I had some trouble...
My little 625W air conditioner was about to shake itself out of the window.

No Global Warming? HA! All one must do to be convinced it's real is to spend
a night in my oven... I mean, bedroom.

31. Pretty well.
I'm a medium sleeper, which means that if something wakes me up, I can usually go back to sleep without a problem unless there is light involved (i.e. turning on the light, sunlight in the early morning, etc.). Last night, our dogs slept through the night (one usually feels like she has to pee at 4 AM :eyes: ), so I didn't have to get up to let the dogs outside.

32. Nope
I haven't slept well in a couple years; in fact, the last girl I dated informed me that I most likely have sleep apnea as I stop breathing for long periods of time while I'm asleep.

I need to get checked out and have a sleep study, but I'm still trying to figure out if my insurance covers that.

33. I never sleep well
I have trouble falling asleep due to the fact that I can't turn my mind off and then once I do finally fall asleep (usually around 2am), I toss and turn all night.

34. For a change
I've been notified that I have to move out of my flat by next month. Finding another has been tough. I've kipped for half a night, waking up, then having thoughts start chugging away. Exhaustion must have caught up with me.

Not too great but I can function on that. I usually get about 6-7 hours, and that's enough for me. So I'm a little tired, but I'll live.

36. Hi, my dear arwalden!
I was enormously tired last night, since I hadn't gotten my normal afternoon nap!

Being at the doctor's doesn't help my sleep patterns much.....

So, yes, I slept very well, even though I woke up early....

I was able to go back to sleep for a couple more hours....

And today I feel quite well!

:hi:
