I mean, usually at this point in the season they are statisically eliminated from the playoffs - sorta like how the Pittsburgh Pirates are right now

The Tigers are even still in first, despite a horrible two-week stretch. Still best team in baseball!

2. Once Pujols come back, the Cards are gonna pull away.
But I do think we have a shot at the wild card. IF.

If Griffey stays healthy. If Kearns stays healthy. If Brandon Phillips shows that he's finally learned to use his talent, and that his hot start isn't a fluke. If Arroyo keeps pitching like he has been.

This is not a lucky record like it was 2 years ago at this time. The Reds have been playing good baseball.

Here's hoping they keep it up! :toast:

The DETROIT FUCKING TIGERS are in 1st place! The team has not had a winning season since 1993! Cripes!
