I went kayaking for the first time today.
It was a seven mile trip and I only dumped myself over once. My shoulders are tired as hell now though.

1. I went kayaking too today!
Finally the winds have calmed down. I was out on Corpus Christi Bay. It was a little rough though. I have a hard time kayaking when the wind is more than 10 miles per hour. I must be a wimp, or my kayak is slow and and hard to paddle in the wind. Wish I'd bought a longer, skinnier one. Oh well.

2. I went down a river.
It was pretty fun. There aren't too many places around here to do it though, and half the places to kayak have turds floating in the water.

3. I wouldn't want to kayak in those conditions either
It's a shame we can't (as a species) keep our waterways clean.

I've never been kayaking on a river. There is new kayak trail on one river here in Texas but I can't remember which (Guadalupe maybe). I have been in the Gulf of Mexico but not very far out.
