Poll question: Van Halen Poll Time
Okay who was the best lead singer, for Van Halen? For my money it is Sammy Hagar.

1. Sammy Hagar. David always seemed, well, icky...
My daughter's first concert, I took her and her friend to see
Van Halen w/Sammy. Boy sitting in front of us couldn't keep
his hands off lovely date in mini-leather dress with cutouts.
My little girls couldn't take their eyes off the couple in
front of us. Til MOM kicked the seat and said, "Enough
already!" They moved and we were able to enjoy the real
concert experience.

2. As much as I dislike almost all VanHalen (VanHeadache) music
I have to go with Van Roth.

4. Tough call.
If the question is during which period in the pre jump the shark Van Halen, did they have the best (Roth or Hagar) frontman, then I'd say Roth. A true showman, and he had a lot of talent.

If the question is in regards to who was a better talent, then I'd have to say Hagar, only because he was also an excellent guitarist that took a chunk of the lead work and the majority of the backing guitar work, so that Eddie could, well, be Eddie.

I was in the front row during the OU812 tour. It was my only VH show, and they put on one hell of one. Now, you'd have to lie to me to get me to go to one.

6. I went to their last show...
it wasn't bad. "Wolfgang" knows how to play a mean guitar. He went out on stage with Eddy. Kid sure is tubby though.

5. Sammy is the nicest...Dave could jump around the best...
and Gary, well we'll try to forget about him. I remember that Cherone concert, it wasn't bad, but it wasn't great. I have to say, before they got back together Sammy was doing best out of all of them. I went to one Sammy Solo, and the one Sammy/Dave and obviously Sammy was great. He could actually write music.
