9. I've actually been to that winery.
Of all the Malbecs, I found Norton to be the most simple and one-dimensional (Norton is owned by Swarovski, we found out on the tour).

Better Malbecs are (I highly recommend these):
Dolium Reserva
Escorihuela Don Miguel Gascon
Alamos and/or Catena
Salentein

However "easy" the Norton is, their winery is absolutely breathtaking.

I'll have to check that out. Right now, I'm drinking Basa Rueda Blanco*, a light Spanish white in the same price range with pleasant grapefruit overtones and a dry finish. It's fabulous.
