The nastiest drink ever...
I ended up with a bottle of Yellowtail Chardonnay that is truly nasty! What's the worst drinks you've had? My friend in college made a drink that was vodka, tequila, and strawberry Nehi. He called it the "Stain on the Carpet", because that's what it would end up being.

Any other awful drinks? Has anyone tried that Cuervo Black and Cola? That looks nasty to me.

1. A mint julep
I had it in New Orleans years ago and vague nausea strikes each time I think about it, even now!

6. I used to drink Sloe Gin mixed with Diet Mountain Dew.
Though I don't really like to talk about that part of my past.

I really thought it tasted good (and yes, this was well after establishing myself as a Martini and quality beer snob). I haven't done that since I was 26, though; I'm sort of curious to find out what I'd think of the drink now, but I don't feel like potentially wasting the money on it. For one thing, soda now tastes soooooooooo sickly sweet to me, esp. mountain dew, I can't stand it. And Sloe Gin is also a sweet shitty alcohol, so I have a feeling it would disgust me just because of the sugar, not because of the other tastes.

7. Vodka and Red Bull.
Red Bull tastes exactly like Robitussin cough syrup, and vodka doesn't taste like much of anything--personally, I don't see how anyone drinks the stuff without projectile-vomiting.

Jägermeister is a close second; it tastes like anise-flavoured cough syrup, which isn't really much of an improvement over just tasting like cough syrup.

I think I've had that before, and it was called Boba. These little tapioca balls in a tea thing. Everyone else loved it and I thought it was nasty.

Edited on Wed Jun-14-06 10:40 PM by Fox Mulder
I can't stand it. The very smell of it makes me want to puke. It's all I drink, though. It's cheap and it gets me drunk!

I'd rather drink Jagermeister than The Beast any day.

Edit: The Beast = Milwaukee's Best

13. Is that a Southern Thing?
I went to school at UNC and became very familiar with The Beast there, but haven't heard Milwaukee's Best referred to by that name by everyone else. Is it a Southern thing? Alls I know is my Uncle who is Ex-Navy and tough as fucking nails (like, he has lung problems and keeps smoking because, well, fuck you) swears by it. I can't drink it unless it's a Flaming Dr. Pepper or Boilermaker.

25. Wow, surprised about the Yellow Tail.
Have never tasted a bad bottle of wine from them, but I tend to favor their reds.

As for terrible drinks, I just can't make myself like a Campari soda.

34. The nastiest drink ever conceived is Makkoli
Imagine the perfect companion to Balut. The drink that accents the crispy crunch of the bones and the wonderful warm feel of the feathers as they caress your tongue.

That's Makkoli.

Makkoli is Korean farmer's liquor. Take one package of Nurruk (go to a Korean market, they'll know what it is and what you're going to do with it), two and a half cups of cooked rice and a gallon and a half of water. Mix all three together, put it in a kimchi pot for three or four days or until it stops bubbling, then strain out the chunks and drink it quick before it goes bad.

If you don't have a kimchi pot...well, I guess you won't be making any Makkoli then. Which is my recommendation anyway.
