5. I am very happy!!
It's nice to not have that rotting piece of siding, the nasty, dented front door and the broken window anymore.

Now, if I could just win a few more contests like this, I can get everything around here fixed! :D

It's good to see you! :hi:

Three problems down...countless more to go. But, the longest journey begins with a single step. :D

12. Very nice GOPisEvil
and Good for you winning a raffle to home improve...security means everything in a home and that window looks safe now.
Great combo on paint colors on house too, nice job.
I also see a nice privacy fence and a pretty flower bush....I bet your yard is lovely too.

One day I will get to show you our home when we get it done. :-)

Thanks for sharing dear friend....:hi:

14. Crew!!
It's good to see you!

I do have lots of native flowering plants. The pink flowers you see are from my two crepe myrtles. The yard is quite brown, thanks to the lack of rain. The fence is very new; just a couple of months old.

I look forward to seeing your house when it's done my friend! :hi:

15. Good that you were able to get those repairs done....
but a sad commentary on today that it cost the entire $1,200 and you had to kick in some more. Homeowning is damned expensive.

17. Yep...its expensive if you want the job done right.
I work in homeowner claims and I see the results of shoddy workmanship, so yes, it's expensive, but quality always is...

Most people in my neighborhood couldn't afford this though... :evilfrown:

Happy you could get it done and save the $1,200.

19. This company is one that we recommend to customers whose homes
are destroyed or damaged by fire or other reason. They're very good.

The people at the office were quite upset. Seems a lot of people need work done on their houses! :D

Congratulations to you for doing so.

Know any good plumbers in Chicago's near west suburbs? Just joking, I have a recommendation.

:D

21. Heh...Chicago is one area where don't have many customers strangely.
A good plumber is worth his or her weight in gold. :D

22. Before I moved, I had a great plumber...and no plumbing problem.
Now that I've moved....

:(

Happily, it is not something that is an emergency. And I feel badly about it because the water in this building will have to be turned off for several hours for the repair to be made (bad shower valve, the bathtub works just fine and I prefer baths).

23. I need a plumber too...or someone who is good at toilets.
The fill valve in my spare bathroom makes a rather awful screeching sound. :(:scared:

24. Day after I moved in, I took a shower....
Damn hall outside my unit flooded. :-(

They had to call the plumber, who discovered towels wadded around the valve to stop the flow. They looked like they had been in there for some time. Obviously, I had not put them there. :)

26. We have no clue who did that....
The plumber who came has worked on the building for the management company for a number of years (this is a condominium). He had never seen anything quite like the wadded up towels.
