How's ITunes for privacy?
I'm thinking of installing ITunes software on my computer.

But wondering....Is it snoopy? Does it gum up the computer? Any downside?

1. Only quicktime... but I installed it.
No complaints here.

Yet.

(99cents per song is a bit silly, when some songs are 10 second sound effects...)

2. HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH
Always running. Have to hit ctrl/alt/delete and stop it as a process "ituneshelper.exe".

I wonder what it's helping. Now part of Quicktime.

3. Rock solid.
Unlike most programs, Apple's software for Windows (like their software for the Mac) does what you want it to do and then gets out of your way.

4. I've no problems with it
whatsoever. I love it. It organizes my music and with a good sound card and speakers I've turned my PC into a stereo. The burning software is a no-brainer.

5. I removed it, but it kept coming back when I ran quicktime,
And I had to disable it on startup and delete it manually. I still haven't gotten all of it out of my registry.

6. Kept coming back?
That's the kind of thing I'm trying to avoid. My computer isn;t the world's most powergul, so a lot of intrusive programs tend to gum it up.

7. Not Snoopy
It isn't written to be snoopy. It doesn't gum up mine (3 threads, 10.20MB real memory) but I do have a Mac; a friend with a PC and Macs doesn't have any problems with iTunes on either platform.
