Grrr... stupid bus driver.
Edited on Thu Jun-15-06 08:24 PM by MiniMandaRuth
I had a nice surprise today on the bus...

I was really, really, really hyper on Monday on the after-school bus. Laughing, joking, bouncing around in my seat. All that good stuff.

Bus driver was laughing the entire time, saying it was cute and funny, and that he couldn't wait to tell the other drivers how funny it was.

So today, I got a write up.

Off the bus for one day.

Have to have my parents sign a paper so I can get back on the bus. Stupid, isn't it?

on the paper, it says "Warnings given' and then has three little boxes next to it with the numbers 1, 2, and 3 written under them.

Not one of them checked.

Worst of all, he misspelled my last name!!!

And this happened on Monday!!!

edit: To add these:

  :grr: :banghead:

65. because when they go to the back, the trouble begins
the boys start their little slappin' games, or their favorite, bloody knuckles. The girls also get into the putdown mood too. When they are up front, the trouble subsides, and it is a better ride for all.

35. ha ha, that's funny
I remember when I was in school we had this really cool Bus driver named, "roy". He was from Northern Ireland. Everyone wanted to sit in the front so we could talk to him. He'd let us sing songs over the PA and everything. A good bus driver is something nice for the kids to look forward to on their way home. Especially if they've had a bad day.

with Mr. Sparks. I look at my job as a guardian, a teacher, a preacher, a coach and a philosopher. I've done a lot in life (including the entertainer bit, which really helps out), and they get a little bit of my experience and I hope they take a bit of it with them when we finish the school year.

I go to the grocery store and have little kids run down the aisle yelling, "Mr. Sparks," just to give me a hug.

People who make billions don't get that kind of psychic income.

61. When I was a kid, we had to walk TEN miles uphill -- both ways!
In the morning it was minus 10 degrees Fahrenheit and then in the afternoon it had risen to 40 degrees Celsius! (Don't ask me how the weather switched over to a different heat scale ...) We carried coal to school to heat the building -- on our backs! -- and then in the afternoon we had to carry home oxen manure to fertilize the fields (which we toiled in for several hours after we completed our homework). Our shoes were made of rusty nails and the style then was to hop on one foot while balancing a large rock on an upraised elbow. And we liked it, and we never complained! And we thought of ourselves as very fortunate!

walk to and from school, four miles each way. And uphill in both directions, too! In the snow! And we didn't have shoes!!

Yeah, j/k. Actually I always hated the damn bus, so I'd walk by choice if I couldn't get a ride. It was just under a mile though, so not so bad.

Blowing up his mailbox would be fun, right....

Seriously, I was smart, in the smart track and I got in trouble ALL the time cause I spoke out...

Some of my friends were like you, never getting in trouble...

Sometimes ya gotta take a stand...

Write a letter to the school paper....

Have your mom or dad question the punishment....

Ask about why you are being arbitrarily thrown off the bus without so much as a warning or a chance to defend yourself...

Make it an issue....

Or not....

You are after all, posting on a political site...

Not all battles have to be fought against the GOP or Bush...

Take a stand now...

that at the end of the year, the driver is pretty much just sick of kids. I bet the kids are sick of him too. It is why the gods invented summer break. Be nice to bus drivers though, they are treated like shit. We've even got assault leave written into our contract.
