Good Friday Morning, Crew!

Welcome to the Friday edition of the Early Morning Crew thread! :bounce: I hope you've had a good week so far, and we only have one more day to get through until the weekend is upon us! :woohoo: It's been a busy one for me. The days leading up to yesterday were crazy trying to get ready for our Regional Managers visit. I'm not like this, but I was nervous as hells waiting for her to get there. Once she did, I calmed down and we had one of the BEST visits from an RD we've ever had! She was funny, complimentary, interested and excited to meet us! We laughed and got some great suggestions from her and so the picture painted of her to me was completely wrong, I'm happy to say! :bounce: She even told me that she was VERY impressed with ME personally! I walked out of that store after three and a half hours with her, on cloud nine! :bounce:

After tomorrow's shift, my vacation begins! So, I have two more to get through and then I'm home free! :bounce: And today is going to be a VERY short one as I don't have to be there until 4 o'clock! So, all in all, life is good and I'm one very happy Captain Clintmax! :bounce: I hope YOU are too!

So, let's get this last work day of the week started, my crew! Time to rise and shine!

For me, it will be Friday in less then an hour!

after my day off yesterday I have to work today. But the good thing is it is half over already.

I am going to send off another application in London in about 15 to 20 minutes. Let's see how that goes. The deadline for the other job I applied to is June 21st. So I haven't heard from them yet.

Saturday evening is a firework in a garden here in Frankfurt. Going there with two friends. Other than that I feel like being lazy.

Monday morning I got that long email and Tuesday we chatted for a second. I hope I see him online tonight and will be able to talk to him this weekend. I know he is busy and tired in the evenings so I leave him alone at the moment. But I miss him very much.

I feel a bit down these days. Like I am tired of being alone, tired of not being together with him ...

I'm always glad to see you, my friend! I hope work isn't quite so boring today!

A couple of my coworkers were arguing in front of my boss, so I sailed in and did the "Mr Reasonable" thing and presented a compromise solution to keep them both happy. In the process I effectively volunteered myself to help coordinate the project they were arguing over.

I've done that in the past too. Insert myself into an argument and volunteer like that!

So, the RD wasn't a ballbuster after all? :rofl: That's good to know. At least you don't have to dread every visit she makes to your store now.


I've got a day off next week. I'm taking off Wednesday night, which happens to be the first day of Summer, and also the day of the Summer Solstice. :thumbsup:

It's freakin awesome in my book, Man! :bounce: Great gas mileage and it drives wonderfully! One of the ladies I work with said about it the other day: "It's very..."Clint"!"

Yes, everything is wonderful here! What kept you up tonight? Or did you sleep a little earlier?

I managed to sleep through supper and woke up at 1:30. Darn it! I was getting used to sleeping at night.

Now here you are at awake overnight again, huh? x(

It was nice while it lasted.

Sleeping like that happens to ALL of us sometimes. Me included. I hate that. x(

That was until my 10 day stay in Florida. I was really surprised because my sleep patterns stayed pretty much the same no matter where I slept until then.

I go to bed at the same time every night and get up at the same time every morning. The only time I've ever had an issue is when I've fallen asleep on the couch and slept for five hours. Then I'm messed up for a day or two.

We're still making progress here. Got all the glass tops on the furniture yesterday, hung some pictures, and arranged the garage. Today we have to finish hanging pictures, bring up some boxes for me to unpack, and see if we can fit my car in the garage ... and put "landing lights" (tennis balls) up so I can park it in the right spot. Then harleykid is coming over after work. I ache so much I can't remember what it's like to not be in pain -- especially my hands. But the place is looking great! :bounce: Pretty soon I'll get around to taking pictures of the scenery.

Thank you, my dear! That's so nice of you to say. I was afraid of how she'd be with all of us, but it turns out I had nothing to worry about.

I'm glad you're still making progress. I know how much moving sucks...the worst part being everything being so scattered about. I hate that. x( :rofl: I'm sorry you're not feeling 100% too...after all the work you've been doing, I can certainly see why you are. I'd be investing in some Aleve were I you. I can't wait to see those pictures! I'm going to get out and take some more this weekend!

This part is actually pretty fun. I LOVE our pictures. About half of them were framed by my brother-in-law, who is the best framer I've ever seen. It makes me feel at home to have them out.

Yeah, I'd be getting something if I could actually take it. Fortunately, the pace will start to slow down after today.

Oh, the rest of my laptop came -- the "almost-free" (after rebate) printer, which is about the size of a microwave (to go with my itty bitty MacBook :rofl:) and Microsoft Office for Mac. The FedEx guy came on Wednesday and went to the wrong house, so we had to watch for him yesterday. I knew b/c the tracking info said we weren't home when he tried to deliver. But try calling FedEx and telling them that maybe the driver went to the wrong house. Holy cow! Of COURSE they know where they're going -- the address is correct, isn't it? Well, he went to the wrong house yesterday, too, but we saw him drive up and went over. Guess it's time to put a big sign in the yard. Oh, and I still haven't opened anything. :rofl:

Our company has started using FedEX also and you're right...they make no mistakes and know everything. :eyes: I have to give them this....they're better than Airborne Express.

If I open it, I won't get anything else done ... b/c I'll be playing with it ALL the time! Just wait till next week. I'll be posting on DU with it! :bounce:

FedEx is WAY better than UPS, too. But still ... the only thing that got her to listen to me was when she said they would have left a ticket and I told her there was no ticket. I also asked how they could attempt delivery without ringing the doorbell. :eyes: Took a while, but she finally got thinking and took my phone number for them to call if they had trouble again. Jeez!
