Powell's Books!
Finally an advertisement I can respect.

That's Powell's Books, the greatest bookstore ever, right in the heart of downtown Portland, Or.

2. I was just checking their website.
I saw a couple of books I wanted...I may buy them today. :-)

I'm glad Powell's Books is advertising here.

3. Yep. Pretty great place.
I had thought that I was being targeted geographically for that ad.

I also love Powell's Technical Books and visiting Fup the Cat, who used to be sysop of the Powell's Tech BBS.

4. Great place!
I could spend all day in there ... maybe all week, if I had enough sustenance.

You definitely have to fight the "Oh Crap I'm Completely Overwhelmed And I'm Running Around Like A Headless Chicken In Here Because I Can't Decide Where To Focus On" Syndrome when you go in there, however.

5. Yeah, I always get seperated from my wife.
I'll spend twenty five minutes looking at books and another hour and a half going around in circles looking for her.
