SO, What is everyone doing for July 4th?

My wife and I are going to San Antonio, from the 2nd through the 5th. Going to see the in-laws and hang around SA for a few days.

6. Going to the park down the street

Just the two of us & our dog. The park has a firework show and a ton of people in my town go down there for it. The weekend before the 4th, my SO's dad, step-mom, and brother are coming out to visit.

9. Going to Iowa, attending a 30th h.s. reunion, celebrating our b-days.

Going to Iowa to visit Mr. D's family, show off Junior D to all our kin, and attend Mr. D's 30th high-school reunion. I'm most happy because I'll get to be the young tart in that crowd of fogies.

Mr. D and I will also be celebrating our birthdays on the 4th. We were both born on the 4th of July; same date, different years.

11. we have a bbq every year with about 10 of our friends and their kids

kids spend all day in the pool, the adults play poker and some have a few adult beverages then we do the fire works, mind the ones that drink are not allowed to drive or set off any fireworks.

13. I boycott the fourth every year

I loved fireworks when I was a kid and loved to set them off. But now they are ILLEGAL and the only ones you can see are the professional ones you have to fight the crowd. Screw that, I will do what I do every year. Stay in.
