I am no longer a prisioner of my former company
After five years, I finally have escaped. I will be starting my new job on Monday.
I wish that I had been able to take some time off. I've been so stressed out with ending my old job, my grandmother dying on the 6th, and thinking about startig the new job and associated issues (looing for a new place, preparing for my sizeable commute until then).
What was really weird is that in my last week, I had a difficult time letting go even though I had been looking for a new job for quite some time and had serious reasons why I wanted to leave. I also had a hard time not being a control freak training my replacement and being seriously concerned about how she will do. It is none of my concern now.
This is my first major job transition. All my other jobs that I quit were part time or temporary. This is my first full time permanent to full time permanent transition. I am having a hard time not worrying.

2. Good luck!
:hi:

I finally got the push I needed two weeks ago to go into business for myself. Things are starting out a little slow but I'm not going to give up any time soon.

3. Since you sound stressed, and rightly so,
I just give you a whimsical image to help.

4. It's known as work ethic and pride in work
Your work is a reflection of your character. How you felt and handled your last days in your old job tells me your new boss hit a home run when he picked you.

You're going to do well. Congratulations.

:)
