6. Oh, how thrilling!
I remember when each of mine walked for the first time. Almost. My oldest started at the sitter's. He was crawling when I dropped him off, he ran to me when I picked him up.

I was crushed.

I'm so happy for you.

And now the fun Really begins. Might wanna start your stretching exercises now; you're gonna be doing a lot of running.

7. Ain't no bad to that.
One of the things you'll always remember, and it will make you smile one day years from now when you stumble across a thread about someone else's baby walking! ;)

8. That's exciting!
I remember when my first let go of the coffee table and took a little tentative step. It wasn't long before he was running confidently (at ten months ... oh gawd that was a little early for me ... )I spent a lot of time chasing after him after that ... Same w/ my daughter.

12. for Father's Day no less!
and now the rest is one mad dash!
My husband's first Father's Day was when daughter #1, then in-utero, delivered a good kick to him when we were curled up in bed. She's 18 now and he was rather fondly remembering that this morning. Btw, your baby girl is lovely!:applause:

Isn't she just the cutest little girl!! I see she has on a Minnie Pearl hat. (tag still hanging on it) at least that's what it looks like. In any case WOW, walking for the first time on Dad's day, what a great experience.

21. That's so neat -
congratulations! My daughter is adopted and we got her when she was 16 months old, so we missed the first tooth-first crawl-first step milestones. But we have others to make up for it - like the first time she stayed with her father while I went out and didn't cry, or the first time she snuggled against my neck and fell asleep. It's all good. But for you - now the fun really begins! Break out the track shoes, you're gonna need them.

23. And you will marvel at how quickly your desire for her to walk and
talk will turn into your desire for her to sit down and be quiet!

Can I just say...AWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW
