5. I think Mom gets the nod then
Let's just say they'd both be considered "eccentric" if we all moved up a few tax brackets.

Ma-Sicilian. Dad-Irish. Both reactionary...
So I voted "Both".
They were never mean or evil but both were a little bit "out there".

8. My mother.
Never saw anyone who enjoyed criticizing and putting others down the way she does.

9. My father
not as "crazy, haha" insane, but as angry, compulsive, 'don't want to own up to his own actions' insane.

10. I voted "both"......but.....
They both used to be nuts....

Now, however, they are older, and a lot calmer!

It doesn't really apply anymore!

:hi:

14. No, not really
There's no craziness like "not much left to lose" craziness.

My father - hands down. Picture James Cagney in White Heat sans Oedipal Complex and .38, even looked a lot like him. Only Mom kept him under control.

17. Well, this was a dude that was
kicked in the head by a draft horse, knocked ass over apple cart across the barn (Mom later said his face was swollen so badly she didn't recognize at first). He got up, walked over the horse and pulled out a right cross that knocked the horse to its knees. He was a light weight amateur boxer and played semi-pro baseball; this back in the days of no safety protocols. Last man standing won. So yeah, I can imagine him getting wound up enough to blow up an oil refinery.

13. My mother, no contest.
And everyone told me when growing up that it was my dad who was "angry and eccentric." You'd had to have been to have married my mother. Now she considers me "angry and eccentric."

18. My mother is a major control freak
Although she won't admit it, she probably has as big of anxiety problem as I do. She isn't afraid to be angry though, which is why I don't think it damages her as much as me.
My father is eccentric, but I don't think that he has any identifiable mental illnesses.
