Well, it seems I have pneumonia and a strep infection ...

I am on two inhalation antibiotics for two weeks...

An oral one for the next 10 days...

Plus all my other freakin meds...

Sigh... Good thing I don't have to work a job to make a living...

Sometimes I get to weighing out if it really is worth it, living like this....

And then you know what, I think of all the great people I have met on line, here at DU...

All the leeway my clients allow me...

All the stuff Mrs. WCGreen and others close to me do for me...

And I think, maybe it is worth fighting...

Clinging on to another day...

Oh well, off to spend twenty minutes with a hose in my mouth sucking in my med...

didn't have it as bad as you do though. It's no fun. I've heard of more people getting it this year than ever before...and not even people you'd expect to get it. I'm 25 and healthy, for crying out loud. Oh well. Get better!

EP and I are pulling for you to get better ASAP. That just plain sucks.
I know what you mean about feeling like it just can't get any worse. I was there when I was trying to get through the pain from my ruptured disc and then the recovery from my back surgery. There were days that I just didn't care if I went to sleep and didn't wake up in the morning b/c the pain was so bad. But, I kept thinking "there are people out there who have it ten times worse than you do, so quit feeling sorry for yourself." It was very hard, though. I had to constantly remind myself that it would get better.

So, guess what? Almost three months post-op (and 6 months since pain began), I feel great. I saw the doctor two days ago and he said he's done with me. I'm free to go on with my life without meds (but keeping up the exercises to strengthen the back muscles) and without seeing him again (hopefully!).
