Obnoxious homophobic conversation at work today
Between two of the outside vendors. I was loading a dolly near them when their conversation penetrated my skull - some general talk about gay marriage which I didn't catch much of and then this gem -

Guy #1 - ....so now they want their own day to recognize their contributions. What contributions?

Guy #2 - Yeah, how ridiculous.


Too much for me. "Well," I said, "They've fought in our wars, been police officers, firefighters, paramedics, teachers, inventors, artists, musicians, scientists, doctors, lawyers, pharmacists, plumbers, mechanics, and even grocery store vendors. I'd call those contributions."

Shut 'em up anyway. :grr:
