7. We cooled off
It was 93 around noon, but we caught a breeze off Monterey Bay. Now it's like 87 and really comfortable. :D

This time yesterday it was about 100.

10. Drove by a sign that declared 103 degrees F.
In North Cackalacky the weather people are talking 90's here. But that temperature sign was a shock to see it in the three digit range. I know the car is/was as hot as an oven and the Children's Museum's air conditioning today felt like heaven on earth... but for this Englishman anything over 80 is hot.

Mark.

I don't want to know how hot it is right now. I started melting at noon.

On edit: skygazer, I just read your post. We have the same idear. Could it be that Northern New England upbringing we both had?

12. The Earth is officially hotter than it ever has
been in 400 years and some scientists believe that, based on ice cores from the poles, that it is hotter than it has been in 2,000 years. But it's not global warming according to our Great Moran Leader. There still needs to be more research. :eyes:
