Anyone doing the sandwich generation thing?

And please no comments about salami and cheese. I got one kid going into college, another one going next year, which means two teenagers at home, plus an elderly mother to take care of. She is in a nursing home, but I almost think that is more work than her living here, (which she did for three years) because I have to travel two hours each way to visit her each week. Plus I manage our house, rent out my mom's house, and work.

Last week, I had one kid graduate, one kid had his guidance workshop to decide where he is going and what he is going to do with his future, and a "parent,teacher" conference for my mother about her care and how she is progressing.

Do you ever feel that you are due a conference to find out how YOU are doing and where you should be going?

I'm sorry to hear of the rough stuff in your life - I don't know how you people do it, but kudos to you for doing it.

And you're right - you DO need a conference to find out how YOU are doing, and you need some support - preferably peer support. I hope you can find it!
