Is there a vegetarian alternative to Mayonnaise?
I can't find anything without egg in it.

1. There are several
Veganaise is the best one. Health food stores (and some groceries with a decent selection of health food) will have it in the refrigerator section. There are others, such as Nayonaise, but if you can get the Veganaise that's the way to go.

4. And do you use it just like mayo?
I want to make a pasta or potato salad with it.

Thanks.

8. I've used Veganaise for cole slaw. Works well. Also, Lemonaise
is pretty good. I've tried Spectrum's version of it, and didn't like it. Not creamy enough. But seemed high quality, might just be my tastes.

2. Several...
Nayonaise
http://www.nasoya.com/nasoya/nayonaise_index.html

Spectrum Organics Egg-less Lowfat Canola Mayo (not all spectrum mayos are eggless, so read the label)

Veganaise (look in the refridgerated section)

I like the spectrum and veganaise the best, but the nayonaise is fine too.

5. Yeah, there are a few.
Canoleo, Vegenaise, Spectrum makes one...they're pretty easy to find in a HFS.

Please, though, promise me that you won't start a thread about "Just so you know...I found vegan mayo."
