I have two dogs. One is a Rottweiler and the other one looks like Benji. I could not imagine coming home from work and not be greeted at the door by my babies.
The only people who should have pets are the ones who are willing to care for them properly. Tying a dog in the back yard and letting it bark is cruel. Dogs are very social creatures who need to feel a part of their "pack" (family). Not that anyone here would do that.... but we all know someone who does!
plus vomiting on the carpet. But it is nothing that carpet cleaner can't take care of and some Fabreze to kill the odor. When you are a doggie parent, you take these things in stride. Believe me, dogs or cats are a lot less messy than little children.
I want a rabbit or two but my current lifestyle will not afford me the time to be a good fur-mama. So I am setting with being a fin-mama to some fish from the classroom. I don't consider fish pets but they will work for now.
cos I've three kitties - not one. They are all house cats - two Chinchilla Persians and a Heinz 57 moggie <tabby which is a cross between a Bengal and a Bengal/Siamese>. Good company for me and my daughter calls into feed them if I can't get home in time or am on holiday whatever.
I get really testy if any of the communities on the banjo groups start threads , as they occasionally do, talking about using cat skins for banjo heads.
23. There was actually a move in the HI Legislature last year
to outlaw no-pet clauses in leases, condo rules, etc. It's that bad. Apparently the famed aloha spirit does not extend to na ilio (dogs) and na popoki (cats). :(
K-A now catless for over a decade thanks to a succession of callous landlords
