Do you do anything special for your feet in the summer?
spin-daughter got a pedicure today. I just wash mine before I go to bed. I hate dirty feet on the sheets.

1. Sure - I take them with me on vacation.
They seem to enjoy that.

10. Very funny, Rev. You're witty -- do you give funny sermons, too?
We had a woman Unitarian minister at the church I used to attend in Massachusetts. She was a delightful speaker -- sprinkled her sermons with all kinds of brilliant sayings and fantastic images.

I miss you, Deborah! (She's gone on to become a family counselor, as I recall.)

11. Thanks!
Yeah, I try to lighten things up. Church is stuffy enough, so the sermon can be a breath of fresh air. :)

3. hear hear!
I wear shoes only when forced to by necessity in the summer. It's sandals or bust for me baby...they unfortunately take quite a beating in the summer and now I have major calluses on them

5. I keep them bare
as much as possible. After being cooped up all winter, my tootsies want to see the light of day. Bare foot at home--sandals when I go out. Sweet, sweet, feet freedom.:woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo:

Of course, I keep them well manicured and polished. I'm not a heathen.

6. Moisturize! Moisturize! Moisturize!
Yeah, I won't lie, I'm a guy and I put lotion on my feet whenever I get out of the shower. They're baby soft and I love it! I have nicer feet than most girls I know (I've been stopped a few times while out and been asked if I get pedicures and told how nice my feet look) and I just can't stand any sort of dry spots or anything! And the nails must always be clipped to perfection, always!

Whew! Now that that's over. :P

7. When I was a kid, I used to go barefoot
until the soles of my feet were so calloused I could walk on hot pavement and not feel it. Now I try to wear shoes that let them breathe.

8. I use Dr. Scholl's cream
for Cracked Skin. Works wonders on keeping the heels from getting all dried out..and when they do, it gets them back to being clean and soft within three days.

They look almost like the day I got them!

I like clean sheets, too.

12. how much did the pedicure cost?
I always do my own feet, but I'm thinking of buying a pedicure for a teenage relative. Flip flops are hard on the feet!

16. It was $15, but
she had them put some flower design on the big toes, so that was an extra $5. Her friend got a pedicure at a "spa" (you know--a shop that calls itself a spa, and it was $40. Spin-dau's pedicure included all the folderall--massage, sloughing, etc.

13. Not really
I exfoliate them every time I bath and then apply shea butter. I also use lotion a few times a day. I polish my nails once a week.

I do that all year long. Nice feet aren't just for summer. :)

18. I am meticulous about my feet. Pedicures every 2 weeks.
I have a home pedicure spa that I use in between. Lots of washing, exfoliating and moisturizing.

My feet have to be pristine and freshly polished or I just don't feel right.

(My husband admits to a bit of a foot fetish, so he adores my feet.)

19. lol...
When I started dating my current GF the first time I noticed her feet I was taken about how well she takes care of them. Lotion every day, polish all of the time.....I have never been with a woman that took care of her feet and hands like her. Needless to say she gets pretty much daily foot massages from me....they are always very soft and nice. On the other hand if a womans foot is un-attractive or callused I don't want the damn thing anywhere close to me....lol

has great feet.

My yeah..most of the time I don't even glance at the feet of other people. So many just have NO CLUE about a nail clipper.

my husband IS a foot fetishist, and he loves my feet too. :D I have always kept them as nice as I could anyway, so when I met him all those years ago, it's just continued.

31. I just moisturize and do my own pedicures.
I'd never get a commercial pedicure. I know too much about microbiology and too little about how they sanitize their stuff. Unless I saw it actually sanitized (and that's a big maybe), I wouldn't want it on my body. Sorry.

34. pedicures are a necessity. about every 4 to 6 weeks
I spend $30 for mine, but that includes deep scrubbing and exfoliation of feet and lower legs, trim and grooming of nails, about 20 minutes of deep massage, a dip in the hot paraffin and the polish of course.

Divine!!!
