I'm an aunt!!
My sister had a baby boy this morning! His name is Andrew Joseph and he weighs 8lbs, 1.3oz.

Everyone's happy and healthy.

I should have said "I'm an aunt...again!"

This is her 3rd child, my 9th niece/nephew. But it's been a while since we've had a baby in the family, so we're all excited!

It goes well with his siblings' names...Christina and Alexander.

I tend towards slightly more popular names, but they're classic and cute, so it works. Though I am lobbying hard for "Drew" over "Andy" for the nickname. ;)

Andrew Joseph! Two of my favorite names! If Ben and I had had a boy, we would have used Andrew.....

But since we didn't, my brother used it for his oldest son!

And yes, a very good reason to visit!

I like Andrew too. It's classic and cute...and works well with their other kids' names.

We're debating nicknames. Or, rather... I am debating nicknames.

No way in hell my nephew's going to be an "Andy". I'm lobbying for Drew or AJ. ;)


They did fix the a/c, yesterday afternoon around 2. Thank God. That was just miserable.

But as his aunt, it's my duty to hope that he gives them as much crap as possible. In fact, I'll probably aid him in this endeavor.

An example: I taught his older sister her first sentence back in 1995..."Hillary rules!"

(my sister and her husband are Republicans. they weren't amused) :evilgrin:
