Computers: SIMPLIFYING. How? And, how sim'fy net?
Edited on Fri Jun-30-06 11:32 AM by oscar111
Want ideas on how to make computers and the net less complex.

eg, Universal sockets atop the kernel for apps to attach to.

eg, standard formats for everything... or three at most.

I figure progressive lands like Norway have some ideas in place already. Know of any?

I see competing corporations as a huge source of complexification... legal defenses for us to read... EULA's... and incompatabilities... greenware put out for fast profits.. on and on.

Does Sweden do it all better?
