When open-source goes wrong (RANT).
Damn you people at Quesa development! What'd you do to my API? I don't know why it's not displaying the textures (that would be "pictures" for you non-geeks out there) and not loading the object groups (that would be "not making the pretty 3D things appear" in layman-ese), but I don't like it.

I'll tell you something: staring at a corporate logo (albeit a cool-looking one I designed myself) over a whitish orange background for eight seconds and then getting beeped at and reading

"LoadModel: Q3File_ReadObject failed!
1"

is a pretty damn lousy game! It would be helpful if the logo appeared over a picture of some mountains and then...oh, I don't know...a start menu pops up and lets me build a character...you know, LIKE I WROTE IT TO DO AND WORKED LAST NIGHT!!! :grr:

Is it too much to ask for version 1.8 to have the same functionality as version 1.6 only better?

I mean, I suppose I could always go in and try to find out what's wrong with the build I downloaded but trying to feng shui the code on that shit's like removing your own appendix with a fork! Without anesthesia! In a bathroom! With the lights off!

*sigh* Time to go introduce myself to the developer's list. x(

3. Sorry to hear about your troubles.
I'll just sit here and pretend I know what it all means, being sympathetic at the same time...

However, being made difficult now just means that you're going to build up even more experience and brilliance for your next project - it will also make your final triumph even more glorious that it would have been.
