No wonder Bush is the "President"...(Yet another inflated grades story)
This indescribably poor "effort" was a 9th grader's geography term paper. Somehow, the kid got a B+ on this absolute piece of crap.

(And I got annoyed back in high school when my friends turned in similarly pathetic assignments and were given the 50% needed for a passing grade in the so-called "hard" school of my Eastern Ontario district. I'd rather not know how high their grades would have been in Illinios, where this "paper" was written.)

Canada is a very resourceful and interesting country. It has some similarities to the
United States but is also at the same time, different in some ways. Canada is a very welcoming
country, open to many different types of nationalities. Canada is located in a place where there
are many useful natural resources. Human-environment interaction, economy, government,
climate, culture, and many other things make up the great country of Canada.

The people of Canada put the land to good use. Most of it is used for manufacturing and
processing products to be used. Hydroelectricity is one of the biggest sources of power because Canada is very conservative. A large part of Canada’s money comes from trade. Canada’s natural resources are very useful in today’s competitive money-making market.

Canada’s economy is similar to that of the United States. It relies most on technology.
A large part of the economy is derived from Canada’s natural resources. Trade is very important Canada because that is how products in Canada are sold to make money.
Canada’s type of government is a confederation with parliamentary democracy . The
Administrative Division are made up of ten provinces and three territories. Just like most
countries, the legal voting age is that of 18. The legal system is based on English common law,
except for in Quebec because that system is based on the French law.
Canada’s climate and land makeup is different from other places. Climate of Canada is
temperate in the south and varies from subarctic and arctic up in the north. Mountains and plains makeup the west, and lowlands makeup the southeast. The land is put to good use, for farming, and is rich with natural resources. The land size is about 4 million square miles and crosses six time zones.

The culture of Canada is mixed with many different kinds of people. Britain, French,
European, Indian, Asian, African American and Arabian make up mostly Canada’s culture.
The biggest religion in Canada is Roman Catholic, closely followed by Protestant.
To conclude, Canada is a very influential country with a lot of power. There are many
good things about Canada, some of which people might disagree about. Canada is a fair place
that gives different kinds of people the opportunity to live in the land. Currently, Canada
is doing good by itself. It tries to stay out of other country’s business and therefore prevents
war. All in all, Canada is a great country and has friendly people; if you want to go on vacation,
you should go to Canada to have a great time.

2. This is ...............
way to complex and insighftull to be a paper by George Bush.
I agree, whoever wrote this didn't really capture the essence of Canada and probably got this information from an almanac. Poorly researched and comprised.
I guess some teachers just give up and take anything as long as it's SOMETHING. This one however wouldn't have given me an F from any of my teachers. Perhaps they graded the student on his/her ability quotient, suggesting a student with very limited ability.

4. You should see that mess of an essay my friend got passed on in 11th grade
*shudders*

That teacher was an idiot though...He'd never fail you, no matter how bad your work was, but it was practically impossible to get a mark over 80.
