7. Nevermind. I googled.

Her father is White. Her mother (singer Minnie Riperton) is Black. Recently joined the cast of Saturday Night Live. After a brief singing career she decided to pursue a career in comedy. She quickly rose up the ranks at the famed Groundlings Theater in Los Angeles, where she served as a regular Sunday company writer/performer. From there she landed the job at SNL.

Never heard her sing-- wonder if she inherited at least a little of that incredible voice.
