Is it me or does Saddam look f-in awful?
He looks like he has aged 20 years in the last 6 months. He looks dirty, sick and exhausted.
To go from such a royal lifestyle to hiding in cellars and not practicing regular hygiene must have really done a number on the guy.

That was the first thing I thought to myself, "Damn, hey, it is him." I'm so untrusting the first thing I did was look for the photo. :eyes:

Although, on another note, that's more beard than I could grow in six months.

5. Yes, it does look exactly like him, but so did his numerous doubles.
I really hope this is the "real" Saddam, but I have learned to question EVERYTHING that comes out of this administration.

This hasn't come out of "this administration" - the news is pretty much coming from a bunch of governing Shiites.

"This Administration" is still looking at ways to buy votes with a dwindling tax base. This discovery was made by Iraqis for Iraqis.

9. Doesn't Look Like the Leader of the Resistance

There was an odd news story the other day quoting his wife-saying she was out of Iraq and receiving money and telephone messages regularly from him.

What was that about?

This doens't look like someone who absconded with billions, was leading an active resistance, was having international telephone chats.

I tend to believe those who have suggested that Husseins whereabuots were known or that he was already a prisoner.

My guess is that the real news story is why they have decided to "capture" him now.

12. I think the resistance was planned in advance
of the war. The Guerillas have secret caches of military equitment and many have real military training with mortars, mines, explosives and camouflage. Many of these attacks have definetly come from professionals.

It looks like him. I'm glad he was captured, but I doubt it's going to slow the Iraqi guerillas because they seem to be composed of Islamists that he was keeping in check.
