Prayers needed

I just got an email from Corarose. Her father was rushed to the hospital late last night. She thinks that he might have suffered a stroke, but she's too scared to call the hospital. She already lost her mom.

I will pray for her and her family.

Members of this community have always shown compassion to her, and she literally "Bit one of the hands that fed her."

I don't think DU allows other members to pass along email of tombstoned members. Be careful.

Sorry for her dad. Hope he gets well, but Corarose should just correspond with those for whom she has email. This shouldn't be posted in a forum.

Didn't mean to step on any toes. I don't know why she got banned, nor do I care. She's in a lot of pain, that's all I know.

As far as the post, you could just ignore it.

You said "Prayers needed" and I clicked, because I assumed a DUer needed my prayers.

Didn't know that this thread was to facilitate communication between DUers and a tombstoned person when I clicked or else I wouldn't have clicked.

You didn't step on my toes--I just didn't know if you were aware of DU policy against acting as intermediaries between present and tombstoned members via the forum.

Have to say, I put her on ignore a few days ago. First and only time I've done that. It just cleaned up my Lounge page a lot. I don't dislike her, I was just starting to find her posts kind of tiresome.

DUers were extremely compassionate to her during all of her dramas here on DU and in her personal life, many of which it appeared she created herself. I feel sorry for what she is going through, if it is true, but she could have treated DUers with the respect with which she wanted to be treated, and we wouldn't be debating whether she deserves our consideration right now.

I have seen her hostily attack people who helped her financially and emotionally. To me, this says that she enjoyed being the eternal victim.

Now, out of concern for not getting my own post on this matter pulled, I will refrain from further comment.

I don't think Admin approves of us discussing her antics after she was tombstoned just as they don't approve of passing along messages from her post-tombstone.

My, what a disturbingly Orwellian attitude. Cultic, even. Sort of reminiscent of the ostracism practised by Scientologists when someone leaves the flock. Tres creepy, whatever the reason for it is.

It's the same person. Same diet pill addiction, all the way down to the three pills left and an upcoming gift of 50 bucks from last year.

I fell for it last time, and tried to get her to stop taking the pills. Here it is again, verbatim. The persecution complex she has is because she's a liar and she knows it.

corarose was her new incarnation -- never read too many of corarose's posts but when I saw her mention culinary college, it drew my attention.

I don't pray, but I'll be sending good vibes her way.

I hope her father is ok, she has gone thru enough pain.

I know she will be okay no matter what. However this is too much pain in one short period of time. I have said a prayer for her. I hope it helps.

Apparently after reading the whole thread, she needs help and I hope she gets it...I hope her Dad will be OK too!

I'll call her later to see what's going on.

She's a great person but fragile in some respects. Her home situation is bad and "iffy" now that she has to consider putting her Father in a Nursing Home and can no longer share the apartment on her assistance and Dad's Social Security.

I don't know what happened last Friday but I suspect she had a very rough time at home. I don't believe alcohol was a factor as she can't have more than half-a-beer at a time due to her gastric bypass.

I like her too and I want to see her finish her Culinary College with three months to go....

I think that she could use all the support she can get. She seems caught between a rock and a hard place, facing finals and a difficult living situation. This she did not need. I will send all my positive thoughts her way. I don't know what her status is on DU, but I feel that we all must support each other. I have seen some amazing acts of kindness and compassion here and I think Corarose is in need of this.:shrug:

I haven't heard anything from her since she wrote earlier.

I'm curious why the Moderator posted a lock on this. If I'm breaking a rule, let me know. I do have this bad habit of placing feelings over rules, and will accept my punishment if warranted.

I know how scared she must be. I am sending positive thoughts to both her and her dad.:pals:
