Favorite Bob Hope movie?

How times change. I remember when I was 13 in 1977 and in the space of two months Elvis Presley and Bing Crosby died and the airwaves were full of tributes day and night. Say what you will for his politics but Bob Hope is one of the last of the true legends. A man whose career spanned the vaudeville stage, broadway, radio, films, and television. Kate Hepburn was the greatest actress of the 20th Century (my opinion) and an influential role model for women. Yet there passings didn't seem to garner the same attention--maybe becuz they were very old and not active in the business anymore?

Anyway, do you have a favorite Hope film?

Mine is Son of Paleface (love Bob's bedroom scene with Trigger)

I also like "Fancy Pants" and most of the Road Pictures.

Especially the part near the end of the picture with the talking camels:

Female Camel: "If that's the way humans act, I'm glad I'm a camel!"

Male Camel: "I'm glad you're a camel too, Shirley - a hyuk, a hyuk, a hyuk...."

they kept it in the film. The camel spits in his eye and Crosby just cracks up.

What's in (looks one way then the other) the papers? The world shall never know.
