1. I once was Agnostic or Athiest, but seeing how true Christianity was changed all that.
2. I once thought I was Serb and Czech instead of Slovene and Slovak.
3. I knew all the presidents by age 5 and first ladies too I think and states and capitals.
4. I taught myself how to read at age 3.

8. I am left handed but in baseball I throw lefty and hit righty
9. My basketball shot is just about the weirdest there is
10. I do odd movements with my feet if I am listening to music on foot, not dancing but depending on the song, my feet act different.

10: When I was nine I played a game of hockey in front of 14,000 people during an NHL intermission.

1. In 16 days 12 hours and 5 minutes (as of this posting) I will be leaving to go live, for the first time, outside of a 50 mile radius of the location I was born.
2. I could identify almost every dinosaur known to man at age 5; at age 6 I could identify all commercial and military planes.
3. I believe in magic*. No, seriously.
4. In 16 days 12 hours and 5 minutes (as of this posting) I will leave behind all my friends and family, move to the complete opposite end of my nation and start an entire new life.
5. I believe reincarnation is a realistic possibilty; even in the face of science.
6. My great grandfather on my father's side was hung for horse rustling.
7. Apparently, due to my birthdate, my Tarot Card is "The Devil" and my number is 6.
8. Reality just isn't what it used to be, not that it ever was.
9. I believe in kismet. (I also believe in fate and destiny, but kismet sounds cooler)
10. I ate at a middle-eastern deli for the first time in my life yesterday.

1. During Prohibition, my grandfather's family made and ran illegal booze from a farm in Bolton, Connecticut (about 15 miles east of Hartford). They used a Model T Ford with the rumble seat removed and replaced with a huge tank for holding the liquid cargo. With all the money they made, my relatives contributed greatly to their community and became a respected and prominent local family. To this day, there is a road in Bolton that bears my surname.

2. Neither my grandfather, my father, nor I completed our respective military enlistments.

3. In 1983, I wore a button with Ronald Reagan's face and the caption, "1984: END OF AN ERROR." Needless to say, the button was not exactly prophetic....

4. At age five, I leaned too far forward while looking over a cliff. If my father hadn't grabbed my arm and pulled me back, I wouldn't be alive to type these words.

5. Because of the above-mentioned incident, I still have a severe case of acrophobia. Something as mundane as climbing a ladder causes my knees to shake uncontrollably.

6. I lost my virginity at 17, to a woman two years my senior that I met while standing in line at the movies. After that one night, I never saw her again.

7. Although I took Driver's Ed in high school, I didn't get my license until I was 21.

8. Until the 1988 presidential election, I considered myself a conservative. People who didn't know me back then find that extremely hard to believe, but it's the truth, baby!

9. I bought my first record when I was twelve years old. Twenty-five years later, I own about 1,200 LPs, 2,000 45s, and at least 1,500 CDs. And I had even more records before my two big vinyl purges in 1991 and '95!

10. I can't recall ever having said "I love you" to my late mother, a fact that haunts me to this day.

1. I am the youngest girl of seven children. I had a younger brother, who unfortunately killed himself in 2001, so now I am the youngest of my mom's kids. I still find it hard to say.

3. My first protest was in front of the local newspaper after they wrote an article about my high school. They made it sound like it was a cesspool (well that it was but not of what they were talking about)...they made it sound as if every student there took drugs and drank 24/7. So a group of us got together and picketed the paper. They apolgized and said that while the article focused on one school, it was indicative of problems at all the schools in the city. Yeah right. We felt at the time that our school was picked on because it was a North Side school (white working class) and not the rich kid school.
4. Not having had a Jewish education as a kid, I have basically taught myself how to read prayer book Hebrew. I cannot lead prayers (yet) but I can follow along.

8. I am a gadget-holic. Some people like to go clothes shopping and get excited about that...I get excited about going to Circuit City or Best Buy.
9. I have more than a few DVDs. Today I just bought Rage Against the Machine's last concert on DVD and a DVD of a concert by Ben Harper.

Sweetness. My mom's dad's parents are the Slovenes. Its funny honestly if I had been a Serb, and the other circumstances in my life were the same, I would be Eastern Orthodox not Catholic.
